Washington, DC
Rowhouses, condos and detached homes across all eight wards. DC projects have their own logistics: tight stairs, shared walls, condo rules and parking. We plan for all of them.
Maryland
Our Maryland work is concentrated in Montgomery County, close to the DC line. The housing stock here runs from 1920s bungalows to 1960s split levels to new construction, and each needs a different approach.
Northern Virginia
From Arlington high-rises to Old Town rowhouses to larger homes in McLean and Great Falls, our Northern Virginia work covers the inner suburbs closest to DC.
What changes from one area to the next
The flooring products are the same everywhere we work. What changes is the building. DC rowhouses bring narrow stairs, old heart pine and English basements. Montgomery County has mid-century kitchens with original tile, clay soils and a lot of finished basements. Northern Virginia mixes high-rise condos with strict acoustic rules and larger single-family homes with open main levels. Each area page covers what we see there and how we plan for it.
