Wood looks, cork underneath
Wood Inspire answers a request we hear often: an oak-look floor for a kitchen or basement, without vinyl. Wicanders prints a wood design on its PVC-free cork rigid core, the same core used in WISE Cork Inspire, and adds an integrated cork underlay. You get the grain of oak with the warmth and quiet of cork.
Made for wet rooms
The cork rigid core does not swell the way an HDF core does, so Amorim rates the WISE platform for kitchens, laundry rooms and bathrooms. The HRT finish is PVC-free and built for heavy traffic. As with any click floor, we seal the perimeter in full bathrooms.
A note on carbon claims
Amorim publishes carbon balance studies for some Wicanders products and reports a negative balance when the carbon stored by cork oak forests is counted. For example, it reports up to minus 101 kg of CO2 per square meter for WISE Cork Inspire. Figures differ by product, so ask us for the current study for the design you choose.
